A few concerns have been voiced to me as of late, so while we’re here I am going to offer a friendly reminder today- remember, just as a favor, when making icons or layouts or anything else using these little drawings, please don’t go and directly edit the images themselves. If this is confusing, just think when working with an image if it involves: adding to, drawing over, cutting off, cutting and pasting- it is directly editing. Likewise, with the text, please don’t put words into the little guys’ mouths. I don’t mind little icon hearts or squee’s or hi’s or names or “OMG Jedi” text, but when my original text is replaced out and filled with something else different, that’s not the coolest thing in the world for me because I don’t always want people thinking I say the things other people come up with. If there is confusion in this regard as to what text is ok or not, when adding text please keep in mind if you wouldn’t say it in front of your:

A. Blue-haired grandmother
B. Infant niece
C. Teacher while trying to change your grade
D. Boss while trying to get a bonus
E. Miss America pageant interviewer

Then don’t add it to these little guys. I really don’t want to impugn upon anyone’s creativity at all- I love seeing everyone’s work, it’s all so great and it’s not that the variations aren’t HI-larious, they’re just not mine.
I have never had the occasion to ask this of people. If you really need to change the images go ahead on your own but release them not to the wilds of the internet just as a personal favor por moi. Please don’t be cross with me! I love you all. I mean no harm. Cries.
