My awesome dearest Cousbian's graphic made it to the [info]ack_attack Ongoing Lost Post, which I am currently not watching because I'm feeling blah and exhausted. That's what the weekend is for. Or lunchtime at work tomorrow if we're not watching Darkon.

And the randomness of this seriously cracks me up to no end. Best obscure crossover ever!

I needs me a Lost icon.

procrastination? [05 May 2008|06:37pm]

oh lord. i finished the entire series of "le chevalier d'eon" in two days. history and the supernatural all rolled up in a gigantic frenzy. sometimes the animation looks cheaply made (when it rains their clothes don't get wet, the food look like ones from barbie sets), but most of the time it's filled with great action AND it's in the style of "anime" that doesn't drive me off the wall. mmm. the opening lines:

In the beginning was the Word. Those were the days when King Louis XV ruled... Versailles shone in all its glory, and upon the course of the Seine, flourished the city of Paris, pervaded by beauty and chaos. Time changes everything. Only the words remain. That is why I, D'Eon de Beaumont, tell the story of myself, and my comrades who believed in the spirit of France. I shall relate the events which ended an era, and of the woman's body found floating in the Seine. Her name was Lia de Beaumont. My elder sister.

ok that sounds really cheesy and at times in the beginning you think to yourself of that other mary more often found in fiction than, uh, history, BUT IT'S ALL WORTH IT! especially since the characters are loosely based on real people. i.e. there really was a chevalier d'eon who was gender confused. i wish, however, that there were french dubs available.

they have heart to heart in hewitt again, yay!

oh. and the soundtrack is beautiful.

I like picspams. I really really do. [05 May 2008|12:20am]

So last Friday night was our Speed Racer premiere party. *shakes head* Let’s just say the ONLY good thing about that was Three Delivery trailers and mobisodes were aired during the commercial breaks. It was mind-blowing and OMG so much squee. Plus, I finished MY mobisode on Friday, so much celebration was called for.

Anyway, it was an open bar affair, so after a few drinks, the camera came out and much excitement was to be had.

Picspam part 1! I really do work, I swear. )

It was so pretty out. And I stayed indoors to watch Who.

And speaking of Who… Picspam part 2! Spoilers for 4x05 and the trailer for 4x06 )

All in all, too short of a weekend and not enough sleep. I’m gonna go pass out in my bed now.

[ music | TD dialogue over and over and over. ]

The thing that sucks about doing lip-sync is that you can't listen to music while doing it. Sigh. It makes the day go by THAT much longer. Especially if it's a Friday and we have a company open bar this evening for a premiere party.

So here are a couple of songs that I would LIKE to be listening to. I was tagged for a music meme, so may as well!

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to.

What Ever Happened - The Strokes

Red Right Ankle - The Decemberists

Butterfly - Lauluyhtye Rajaton

Black Orchid - Blue October

How to Disappear Completely - Radiohead

A Rush and A Push and the Land Is Ours - The Smiths

Little Victories - Matt Nathanson -- [info]macbeemer, you are so right! This is a perfect song for Ten. I'm thinking S3-ish.

Oh yeah, I tag everyone. Har.

And I'm running away to my grandma's for the weekend. I realized the other night I haven't seen her since before London (that was October, folks). Oops. Whatever, it'll be nice to get away from the city and the computer for a couple of days. Ciao!

oh dear. am getting rather carried away with this paper. grâce à brian's indoctrination i've begun to see everything as an expression of eroticism. my critique on "peepshow of constantinopel" has become a haven for sexual double entendres in manner of penetration, peeping Toms, and libido, and the objectification of the "orient" becomes a precursor for sexualizing it. worrying.

ok back to work.

also, cannot make up my mind on this "brie and apple on pecan raisin bread sandwich." think it would taste much better without the oozing honey.
